How do I find out legality of filling prescription for doctor who wants the drugs for herself?

A friend of mine is friends with a doctor who suffers bad migraines and writes a prescription for my friend to fill, but my friend gives the drugs to the doc. I'm sure it's illegal, but I'd like to be able to show my friend exactly HOW illegal it is. What kind of punishment for both him and the doc. Where in the penal code this could be found. Is it a felony? BTW, they both live in Texas.

Answers:
If I am understanding your story, Dr. A prescribes Person B pain medication that Person B then gives to Dr. A.

Yes it is very illegal, your friend is committing a felony and the doctor will not only also face charges but lose the right t practice for a minimum of three years. Also they will never be able to prescribe any controlled substance ever.

Look at the DEA website for prescription fraud.

you said this was a Dr. or a drug dealer? migraines? shes getting him some form of opium..
