Which U.S. state currently executes the most people per capita?
I know Texas executes more people total, but it also has a large population. I've heard different things about which state has the most executions per capita. I've seen some websites that claim Texas does, some say California, and two say it is Delaware. Some use statistics that go back to the early 1900's, but I'm not sure those would reflect current practices. Does anyone have hard data for recent years? Thanks!
Answers:
Oklahoma by far has the highest execution rate (.235 per 10,000 population), followed by Texas. That is since the death penalty was reinstated in 1976. California is near the very bottom and Delaware is just barely below Texas in third place.
Singapore as far as international goes.
As far as the states are concerned, it's Texas.
Well like u said n-n-read the state is Texas followed by Virginia, and if I am correct Florida, and no the statistics you have seen from the early 1900's do not reflect current practices at all.
If Texas is not number 1 we need to start working harder. go team go!! Execute Execute time to start!
