Does this headline look familiar? " NAACP leaders urge fairness for Vick"?
didnt they drop that b.s. during the O.J. case?.they KNOW he is guilty. If blacks want to isolate themselves further from reality, this is a good start. Protect the criminals and what do you expect but a race full of criminals. I believe in humanity. wake up! or deal with the consequences you create for yourself

Innocent until proven guilty are not just words..
Yes it does, just a different name.
While I do believe Michael Vick deserves a fair trial, it seems like many black "leaders" always want to stick up for the criminal whether they're guilty or not.
Of course. That is why the NAACP is not respected by all the U.S. citizens. They should be helping some high school kid that isn't being treated fairly because of his race or someone in the workplace. Then they would be so respected. I think all of us have seen unfair treatment of some black over the years and I would love to see them help. Fairness for Vick? Are you kidding?
I think their definition of 'fairness' equals our definition of 'he'll walk'. Personally, I'd like to see him in a ring with rabid pit bulls with his testicles exposed.
Damn right. They are trying to pull this crap so people make this a race issue. They want to focus the attention away from the real crime. He is guilty and i hope he goes to jail and never plays in the NFL again. Those poor little creatures. i can't even imagine what they suffered. Harming animals is like harming a small child, They are innocent and helpless. I wish the worst for Vick.
So . blacks should just accept that they will never be treated fairly or presumed innocent? Is that the reality we should all accept?
Get real.
The NAACP is urging people to (hello? --) follow the law and allow due process for everyone. Urging people to reserve their judgments until he's at least convicted is a great way to start, and it's not about protecting criminals. It's about waiting until you're sure they committed a crime.
I'm actually a bit surprised that neither Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton have interjected themselves into this situation yet. It seems like they show up wherever there is a famous black person and the media.
"they know he is guilty". why do we like to talk about fairness and justice but dont actually show it in our actions. What happened to due process?? I am white and i am willing to let the court process take its course and then render an opinion.
Why cant we wait and let the process decide, is that not how justice is supposed to be carried out in usa?? those who want to rush to judgement just look at the duke lacross team, most public opinion would have landed them in prison without a trial. This is not a totalitarian government where the innocent must prove their innocence. if he is guilty he deserves what he gets, but if he is not then will all those rushing to judgement such as some of you repliers and PETA will you give a formal appology to Vick?? if your answer is anything but yes, then you are a coward!!
There are a lot of arguments about innocent until proven guilty. If Vick is proven innocent, than I think there will probably be a lot of shocked Americans. I agree with the earlier remark that the NAACP needs to take the time to stand behind black people that really need their help. Like the Katrina victims that are still living in hurricane trailers, or students that are getting singled out. But it just goes to show how quickly a criminal will be backed even if they have done something wrong and there is a ton of evidence against them. There was a drug dealer in Seattle that tried to get a woman that was buying drugs from him to lie and say the police were beating him. He was in a wheel chair and the police took him to jail. The NAACP is saying that the police did not treat him fairly. THIS IS A CRIMINAL! But he's black, so we should just let him do what he wants? It wouldn't surprise me if the next headline you read with the NAACP in it has to do with them backing the black gangs that are being sued by the cities. RIDICULOUS!!
I LOVE IT! I can see the headlines now..
PETA has NAACP in Wicked Headlock.
If we are lucky, these two wacked out organizations will destroy each other. This is the classic "irresistable force meets immovable object"..
