Yes my brother has completed a PTD (pre trial diversion) program?

and the judge and lawyers promised him a conviction would not show up on his letter. They also told him that if asked on a job application has he ever been convicted of any crime he could check no.

They did however tell him that an arrest would show up on his record. Is an arrest the same thing as a conviction?

A conviction means they have been found guilty or pleaded guilty.
