I think tobacco should be illegal its a harmful product with no value>?
We should make it illegeal it kills to many ignorant people these people are or were good people they get lung cancer and die because they bought a product from a corporation.
Would you want pepsi to be legal if it caused addicition and cancer if you drank it?
Answers:
So than don't smoke, as that being your personal choice. Smoking however is not the only thing that causes cancer, are you going to illegalize everything else that causes cancer or heart disease, than clear out half the grocery store and kill off the family members that carry a cancer history in the gene pool. Get real. Oh wait cars kill lets get rid of those, wait airplanes go down that to, wait fast foods, people fall off of buildings on occasion, I almost forgot pools and drownings. Wait lets live in a bubble and eat soy! Leave it to the Midwest to come up with saving the world.
Taboacco should also be illegal because when you smoke it in a household its like committing murder. Smoking it period is like suicide.
I am an ex smoker who does not have an ax to grind with smokers or tobacco companies for that matter. I knew that smoking was bad for me long before I started smoking. I made the individual choice to smoke; a choice that should not be made for me.
I used to work for Pepsi and a group of similar minder fascist do gooders is trying to ban that product because it causes obesity. Not the person who guzzles 12 cans a day of the stuff but the drink itself.
Not only do I want to make my own decisions I love it when people pay exorbitant taxes voluntarily; it takes some of the burden off of me. Smokers take care of that for me.
Yes it does cause harm. But the people who smoke should take up the responsibility of not smoking. It would be a bad idea to illegalize it. If it became illegal, then the government would lose billions of dollars in tax revenues and the tax burden would go to the people.
it'll never happen. it's exactly what the government wants; something harmful, addicting, and high in taxes. When people get addicted to smoking, they seek medical help. They purchase things off companies, which pay the government for taxes and etc. ciggarettes themselevs have high taxes, and therefore, the governent benefits too much from all the problems. Its really all about money.
i think alcohol and smoking and stuff like that should be illegal too. although people will sneak it in anyway but not as much.
hmmmh, i think the reason it's not illegal is because the people who make the law drink and smoke that stuff.
yea, you never know, they're people too and even if they say they don't they might. Hec maybe the illegal stuff too.
like i said you never know lol
It's a fallacy to think that just because the drug war has fallen off the radar that thousands of people south of the Rio Grande are not paying for our habit. The ONDCP had a campaign a few years back with teenagers saying things like "I killed a Colombian farmer" and the like. They were pulled (although I did see it recently on AFN), because like anything else, we respond much more favorably to placing blame elsewhere. I support thes3e commercials because it brings the drug debate one step closer to truth. Yes, illicit drug users in America are responsible for death and destruction. This is hardly debatable. Most reformers argue that it is the black market created by prohibition that causes criminals to profit from these products. If we institute a prohibition on tobacco, i have no doubt that we will see black market tobacco products, untaxed and funding criminal elements, both domestically and internationally. If this is preferable to regulation, then yes, tobacco and alcohol should be prohibited.
Right on!
