I was aware of the risks pre-surgery, however, I feel that this hematoma is an indication of botched liposuction instead of a minor complication.

OMG, yes! I have had several plastic surgeries, lipo being one and thank god mine went good. I would seek legal help ASAP and sue for everything you can get and get a medical license pulled immediately! Good Luck!
I don't see where money will buy the happiness if you sue. I would however tell them you want it redone by someone else and have whoever did this pay for everything to fix the problem. This might make you feel better then suing for an accident. Just remember, what comes around goes around and some day you may make a big mistake and someone might sue you. Also, it might make you feel even better to love yourself for who you are and not the superficial way like plastic surgery and such. These things all come with risks for a reason. This is a chance I would not take.
The suit would barely make back the costs of restorative surgery, but you can try it. Looks like you wouldn't have any problem winning a lawsuit. You should find a lawyer soon, because the statute of limitations for medical malpractice in most areas is 2 years.
