Vacation Time ?
My boss is leaving for vacation today for 8 days...I have been working for the same company for 3 1/2 years with NO vacation, NO sick days, and NO personal days. I love my job and don't mind that I am here all the time, but enough is enough. Shouldn't I be entitled to at least a day or two off even if I just wanted to sit around the house and do nothing? My boss says that if I had somewhere to go (i.e.: out of state) then he would give me the week off and since we are a small company I am not necessarily entitled to a week’s paid vacation. Regardless of the size of a company aren’t you allowed something? I am just getting a little frustrated with this situation and my patients keep asking me what I am doing with my week off…I respond, frustrated, and tell them working. I might not feel as bad if people didn’t keep reminding me.

Well thats the thing in the country no employer is required to give you paid time off. But since you worked for this small company for so long you have a good trade to put on your resume when you decided to look for a job that will give you better benifits. I bet it wouldn't even surprise your employer if you left. They don't give you what you deserve and I'm sure they won't except you to stay.
I agree that small employers are not required to give you paid time off. I find it horrifying, though, that after three plus years you have not had any.
My advice to you is simple: Find another job. Life is too short for this sort of nonsense.
