How could this affect my future career?
Three years ago on my eighteenth birthday I was fired from a Christian camp and when I was fired I was told that I was fired for being too open with my sexuality (I had confided in another employee that I was gay who in turn told some campers). About a month later I got a letter in the mail from Child Investigative Services saying that 6 kids had accused me of T-Bagging them while I worked at this camp. These children were the children of the owner of the camp. Child Investigative Services said that they felt the need to furthur investigate. A dectective called me and I told him all of this. After this I never heard from them (child protective services) again. No charges were ever brought up.
Now I am in college pursueing a career in social work. How could this affect my career?
Answers:
The information you have gotten here is correct. However, it is possible that in the state that the camp was in and the report was filed in there may be a file under "investigations" especially if the report was field with child welfare. Clearly the charges were unfounded and this would be listed in the report. But if you are working in the state where the report was filed, worked for CWS, etc. it is possible that the report would be there and it could be linked together.
All that said, it would not hurt your career, in fact it is really just evidence of the homophobia and heterosexism that exists, and probably the religious prosecution of hate that is all too often the reality of many christians. Since social work is committed to social justice there is a clear understanding of this "ism". The incident will actually probably make you a better social worker. DA
if the charges against you could not be proved then you don't worry though this can create bad impression but you clarified these charges.

Normally when background checks are run they look for felony convictions. Since you were never even arrested you will pass any background check, provided that you were not arrested and convicted on some other charges not mentioned in your post.
When listing references on job applications or in your resume it would be best not list the Christian Camp. If you list the camp as a place were you obtained experience in your field of study you risk someone calling the camp and asking about your performance there.
Although there were no charges brought against you for these alleged assaults on children - an employer may not want to risk hiring someone with this kind of baggage.
As a side note - you now see the problems caused by mixing your social life with your work life. Be careful going forward.
it can't an won't affect your future career
