Does it bother anyone else the fact that everywhere you go there are cameras watching your every move?

I worked in a casino for awhile that had thirty or so cameras in just one bar and the entire casino had hundreds of cameras. In stores there are lots of cameras, also. Not to mention at stop lights etc. It never used to bother me before but now I just wonder who's watching. It makes me just want to leave the store because it's like an invasion of privacy. Cameras are so high tech that they can zoom in and read the date on a coin. It drives me crazy. I know it's to catch theives and suspicious behavior but I can't stand being observed by big brother all the time. Does it bother anyone else?

yeah it freaks me out! I work in a casino and your constantly on camera unless your in the bathroom sometimes I hide in there just because I don't want them always watching me it's creepy

I love it, makes me feel like a STAR
I try not to think about it
Camera's can't do that.
You aren't even that important to start with so plz drop celebrity delusion, k thx.
Those cameras are also watching the folks who might do me harm.

It's a trade off - and it's a fact of life. You're not going to reverse it, in fact, it will probably grow. Get used to it. Big Brother is here to stay.
This is getting out of control. I think some cameras are necessary but some places take it to far. The goverment takes it too far.
Only if you get caught picking your nose or something like that.

Drivers, when stopped at red lights seem to do that a lot.

.
But you still have your home sweet home! Where nobody can watch at you without a permision.
Absolutely not ! I even sometimes wave and put on a show for the cameras. At the ATM machine, I always make faces at it and laugh ! After all, it must get boring when the camera watchers have to look at the same thing, day in and day out !

It DOES make me feel a lot more secure, though, knowing someone may be watching out for me. And, why does it bother you so much ? Do you have something to hide ?
.
well not really-because i don't give a crap who's watching me cause i'll probablynever see them in my life! but i can totally understand what you mean!-just try not to think about it or just tell yourself it doesn't matter
It would only bother me if I was being watched in the privacy of my own home. In this day and age I expect to been seen by security cameras everywhere I go. If you don't feel comfortable shopping in a store with lots of cameras that's cool but it's their property to protect however they see fit so I don't think I would consider that an invasion of privacy. Most dressing rooms have two way mirrors or cameras focused on them.
Yes because I am shy. You just have to remember that every camera could stop a criminal for a few seconds anyways. I think they go overboard with it though.
I don't mind it in public because I know anyone can see me anyway.

I guess I would prefer not to have my image captured and preserved - some days I look kinda grungy, knocking around doing errands - but than again I believe private film crews and others can do it without my consent (look at street scenes or crowd scenes in films - they aren't all actors), so I guess I have to live with it.

Good question. I have a smidgen of concern, but not much. I blame the criminals for making it more acceptable a response to their actions.
If you were being mugged and there was no camera to catch

the mugger, or if there was a camera to catch the mugger ,

which would you prefer?
lol.
i work at a gas station that has cameras everywhere. those cameras have helped the police to locate thieves and people who drive off without paying for gas.

stop being so paranoid. you are giving yourself too much credit.
If you're thinking bad about cameras watching you all over, then maybe you have bad intentions. For me I don't care as long as what i'm doing is right then thats it.
It doesn't bother me in the least. If it saves just one person's life, then it is worth it.
In my area,a nurse was stabbed while walking to work early in the morning. If it hadn't been for a surveillance camera in the area, her killer would never had been caught.
I really give the camera's no thought. I'm not doing anything wrong,so I have nothing to worry about. I am a pretty boring person,I doubt they would have any interest in me anyway.
