Can I get my property back?
My property just went through a forweclosure sale, but was not sold on the courthouse steps. Is there a way for me to get it back? I can arrange for payoff but it will take three weeks. How can I put myself in a situation where the bank would work with me? I have already sent the mortgage company an affidavit of truth statint that I will pay in 3 weeks if they allow me to. This is nin the state of Georgia where there is no redemption law.
Answers:
if it has already gone through the forclosure process you are probably out of luck. however if they sold it improperly you may be able to get its full value in cash from them. Unfortunately you will probably need a lawyer and will have to agree to giving up between 20% and 35% of the amounts recovered. It sucks either way.
I don't think you can get your property back. If the property was ceased and put up for sale, I think you may be out of luck.
Sounds like too little too late.

If there is no redemption law you don't have a legal right to it. But the bank wants its money, not the property. If the bank still owns the property they probably are willing to sell it to you if you.
What does the courthouse steps have to do with it? The only requirement for an auction that I know of is that it has to be public. Try to arrange for the payoff, but it looks like it's too late.
