Can i put a freeze on my cheking account. Keeping anything from coming out.?
For seven months I borrowed money from a paycheck loan place. Every month I paid back, then turned around and borrowed it back. that was the only way I could make it each month. In July when I got the money, the girl told me that I would have to pay it back on the 20th, when I was always a month to month client. I needed the money, there was know way I could pay my bill without that money, and I knew they would not give it to me if I did not sign the paper that I would pay it back on the 20th. I tried to borrow, but no one had it, eventhough I told them I could borrow it right back. So I called the loan place, and informed them that I just was not able to pay it back until the 3rd as I always had. She was upset with me. What can I do to keep them from going into my checking account. If that happen I will not be able to pay my other bills. I am so messed up, I don't know what to do.
Answers:
You would have to close it and open a different account.
I'm betting your loan agreement doesn't allow you to stop them from drawing on the account.
Draw all the $ out 1st.
I would talk to my Bank for help, they know all the Legalities.
Close the account. Go to another bank and set up another account with another person. This makes it more difficult to attach a bank account should this business get a judgment against you. Avoid payday loan places in the future, they're criminals.
Close the account. Drawing all the money out of your account won't even help a little bit. If they tried to take the money you owe them out after you pulled all your cash out all it would do is get you overdraft charges on your account. I also agree when they say stay away from those places.
Not to talk down or anything, but if you have to do that every month, you should try to cut down on your bills.
