I think the welfare system should be replace with CCC and other work programs.?

The government will be able to get a lot of work done like parks, and painting over graffiti and other odds and ends, save money and the people will be working for their paychecks so it's not a hand out and people can get that pride you feel when you earned a check.

And also more government agencies can offer maybe resume writing classes and allow employers to advertise at central locations.

We can also have Americans doing "the jobs American won't do" and it's a win/win situation.

I agree, to bad the people running for president can not think like this.

An interesting idea, but there's a reason why the old CCC-type government work programs got scrapped and will never come back - LABOR UNIONS. They all whined about jobs getting unfairly taken away from them by the government, which essentially was running a monopoly over public works projects that today are privatized. If you're going to go back to that old system, though, I would at least recommend using convicted prisoners as labor before even worrying about the welfare recipients.
I agree fully with you but obviously we don't understand the full meaning of welfare. The word welfare is synonymous with free. It is a hand out system and it is un-american to expect someone to work for their benefits. This is the land of honey and many have learned how to suck off the welfare trough.
