For the most part, yes. It is the right of the people to alter or abolish the government, there just aren't enought people to do it, nor will there be at any time in the near future. Only once in our 231 year history as the usurping of our government ever come close, and that was when the south seceded from the union. They didn't agree with the government, and chose to institute a new government, they were eventually defeated in war.
We cannot take those words literally. First off, 231 years ago, blacks were not considered "men" that are created equal. They took the term men, in a literal sense. Also if that were written today, the left and the ACLU would not allow the term "Creator" in a government document. It would be considered religous, which it was.
Yes I beleive in those words. But don't take those words and turn it into a different meaning. Bush isn't doing anything to us per say. He isn't wronging our nation as everyone would like to beleive. So if you think that things that are going on overseas is wronging our goverment, then you should explain how. Did you know we can't pull out of the middle east yet because prime minister still wants us there because he hasn't yet found a way to keep their own citizens safe with out our military there. There are so many people who want to blame bush for certain things that have happened rather it be us in war, leaks in the CIA, People in the cabinet causing termoil, etc. Like every other president he is only human and though he should be held accountable for "His" Actions he shouldn't be held accountable for the actions of others that he had nothing to do with. We are where we are right now in the war because of the actions of Osama & Saddam. Though so many seem to forget that. The other thing is don't enter the military if all you are looking for is free college money. Only enter if you are willing to risk you life for you country. So you can't blame bush for all the soldiers we have lost in war because every soldier that has died, enlisted them selves and died for our country.
