Domestic violence in ohio?

My fiance and I got into a bit of an arguement a couple weeks ago and I ended up calling the cops on him and he now has a domestic violence charge hanging over his head. I'm really regretting this because we both want to be back to together and live on with our lives. What can I do, is there anything I can do. His pre-trial is coming up and he's not sure if he can afford a good lawyer. Any advice? (and please no answers asking why I want to get back together with him)

Answers:
If he hit you, he is exactly where he should be.

If he didn't hit you, then you filed a false police report.

Sorry kid but you are the poster child for "Dumb Broads Inc". Someone here has committed a crime and I have little sympathy for anyone unless it is him. If you falsely accused him, I hope the court finds out and locks you up for the maximum time allowed.

I know if I was the judge in this case, SOMEONE would go to jail. On general principals if nothing else.

If you really want to stop this, all I can suggest is that you talk to the District Attorney about dropping the charges.

guy rule number one, if she has you locked up, time to move on.
is this is how you feel - save the taxpayers the expense of a trail and drop the charges - tell the police/DA you changed your mind

but remember if he hit you once what will stop him from doing it again (are you sure he is not just suckering you into believing this line and is going to teach you a lesson later)
You can try to have the charges dropped, BUT..if he hit you (and I am assuming he did based on violence charge) they are not obligated to do it.

A law was broken.
