Should the military interfere with personal life, if no crime is being committed or secrets disposed?
I was recently sent to jail over a blog i had in my yahoo 360, that mention the word barfine/prostitution. It was a newbies guide to the philippines, that i cut and pasted from another site back in 2004. I saved this under a blog for future reference. The military hacked into my yahoo, and serched private emails and my yahoo 360 to gather evidence against me. Yahoo internet company, granted them access do to a military investigation. Remeber no crime was committed, other than having information about prostitution.

You signed up and in the contract you have military rules state they can do this - this is the deal for the UK and the USA troops. A soldier is not like a normal company employee, you give up a lot of civilian civil rights when you sign on the line.
PS - one other thing, is that in military court the burden of proof is not the same as it is for a civilian court, so the scales are tipped in the military favor from the start.
Youre not an employee, youre property. You forget this.
Given what you say, I think the issues are civil and have no place with the military - in any country.
Asa military member myself, I can almost guarantee there is more to this story than what you posted. Why were they investigating you in the first place? What are the other circumstances? What were your charges? And what court were you in that prosecuted you?
You dont go to jail for writing a blog.
You dont get investigated for writing a blog.
Something else must have happened for them to start looking into it all. There are far to many military members, and blogs in this world, for the military to randomly search your posts.
