I hear that permanet legal residents with a green card could be deported for misdemeanors but how often?

does this happen? I assume that even though misdemeanors can sometimes be deportable crimes, it's probably very rare. They probably are more concerned about the really dangerous people who commit felonies, right?.

It would be very very rare. Hell, they don't even deport illegal immigrants guilty of misdemeanors (and in some cases felonies).
