I dont think the judge that ordered him to stay 10 yards away from Children has a F'ing clue. This guy admitted he liked to watch kids. Doesnt that mean from a distance? and isnt 10 yards a ridiculous Order? I dont think 10 yrds is enough. Why didnt the judge order him to stay away from kids period. Even drug dealers have to stay a 1000 from any school or park. Sometimes the justice system just fails us and this is a perfect example. What the hell is goin on with this world?

try to put your brain in gear mate, a school or park is not on 2 legs and moving about how can anyone keep away from kids they are everywhere.
how can someone be ordered to stay away from kids when he could be on a bus and a kid gets on, how can he help that ??
10 yards is more than enough for legal purposes.
Watching people and thinking bad thoughts is NOT a crime.
And the courts cannot legally prohibit it.
Any such restraining order that tried to prohibit him from being within 1000 yards would be thrown out, since he has not yet committed or attempted to commit any crime.
BUT, putting a 10-yard restraining order means that any actual contact (even just conversation) is automatically punishable -- which is what the law can do to protect the kids.
So, the judge was being smart -- you just want the law to work fundamentally differently than it always has, and allow the law to punish people who have not yet done anything illegal just because you think they MIGHT -- the law cannot do that.
Judges in this country have gone absolutely insane. Some of the so-called sentences handed out are nuts. It is like the old joke when Reagan was shot. "Shoot the President, and you can go to an institution and be 'cured'. Steal his hubcaps and you will do serious hard time.
People get a slap on the wrist for violating a child in many courts lately, but do your job and shoot a criminal alien drug dealer in the ***, and serve 11 years for doing your job!
While I agree that there is still much work to be done to protect our children from pedophiles, I am at a loss understanding how increasing the distance would help. If the order was 5 feet and he followed it he would not be able to touch a child. If he was intent on molesting a child, the number assigned to the order would not change anything except at what precise time he started to violate the law.
So what do you propose? Blindfolding the man?
I think - as a parent - that as long as the idiot can't touch my daughter, I am okay with that. I can't stop him looking at her and then doing whatever it is he does. But I do think that it should have gone a bit further in the way of forbidding him of taking photos of children and then putting them on the internet. Without my concent, I can tell you I would sue his @$$ for everything he has - including his computer and digital camera!!
