Texas termination of parental rights help?
i am 17 years old. i want to terminate my moms parental rights. she will even sign and approve it. i live on fort hood texas, 76544. i am a senior in high school. i need to no how much it will cost. and how do i go about doing this?.
also i think i need a job. is that true? and what else do i need to have/ do?
please help.

At 17, you're almost a legal adult anyway. Why not stick it out for one more year, and then spend the money to get out on your own? If you really can't wait and home is really horrible, perhaps you can go to CPS. But that is a drastic step. Look for a job and get prepared to move out!

I don't live in Texas but why don't you just have your mom sign the paper in front of a notary public. That makes it so that she can't call you in as a runaway. you will need a job and a place to live. if you can't go it alone maybe you have a good friend whose parents will let you stay there until you are old enough to get your own place. you could also check with your local dept of child and family services. you could do that on the phone if you don't want them to know who you are.
