My ex-husband married a girl just so she could get a green card - is this illegal?

I know for a fact it was just for her to get a green card. Her family paid him a lump sum in the beginning then gave him a car and is giving him $200 a month until the card becomes perm. They do not/never have live together. He is seeing someone else right now. Is this illegal and if so what should I do? We are in California.

Answers:
Report him and her. It is illegal to do so under false pretense.

totally illegal. report him to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
haha revenge!
It is quite illegal; in order to earn a permanent resident card through mariage, the parties need to be together for at least two years, probably co-habitating during the first two years. This is to prevent fraudulent marriages.

Since your ex and his "wife" do not live together, you can blow the whistle on him.

However, why do you want to be involved? Maybe you should stop thinkig about him and move on.
SOUNDS ILLEGAL TRY FINDING ANYONE TO LISTEN TO YOU ABOUT IT
Try to get on with your own liife! get a boyfriend and stop being a witch..no wonder he left you...jejej
