What crime did Scooter Libby commit that Bill Clinton didn't also commit?
It is some measure of Justice that Libby is free.
Answer:
Yeah they can't take their own medicine
Libby is a Republican so he deserves to be executed. According to liberals that is.
Libby didn't do anythign wrong. Liberals just wanted someone to rag on since they can't get Bush out of the office. If we want to talk about lawbreaking, lets talk about Bill Clinton.
lol Libby's a neocon. You really didn't think he was going to see jail time, did you?
Scooter Libby lied for his boss (Cheney). He was convicted in a court and was denied in appeal. There are a lot of other people that have done the same thing and are/were in jail. If Dick Cheney wants to say that he had Libby lie and it is his fault not Libby, then we can free Libby. Until then, he should go to jail for stupidity. Let's compare Clinton to Bush/Cheney and then we will be on equal ground.
Clinton lied to keep a secret from his wife. Scooter outed a CIA operative, potentially jeopardizing U.S. covert operations and exposing government operations abroad. There's a little bit of difference in my book.
Bill Clinton: Shaded the truth in a civil case in response to a question that should not have been asked.
Irving Libby: Obstructed the investigation into a REAL crime that affects our national security.
Way beyond apples and oranges.
Does bringing up the past truly justify in your mind what is happening now?
Focus on Bush and Scooter Libby and their relationship. Don't need to excuse Bush's action, if it is wrong then it's consequences will come back to haunt him.
Why is it in politics if you can prove someone from the other party did something slightly reprehensible then anything your party has done is excusable??
Why isn't each instance individually examined and the parties involved held accountable based on what they did?
Two wrongs don't make a right people.
Klinton chopped our military by almost 45%.
Is there any worse example than making our country weaker?
He was a part of the Bush administration. Wasn't that crime enough to convict him?
I didn't realize that Clinton had his law license restored. Oh, wait, you mean he actually paid the penalty that was imposed?
