Will I be able to drive at the age of 16 what can I do ?
Hi,
after being told by someone and looking it up on google is it true that I will be able to drive at the age of 16?
now I am disabled with cerebyl palsy and aspergers syndrome and my family get the higher pay of disability allowence.
So does this mean that I will be able to drive at the age of 16 i do know that I would have to get a license and all that but can I drivce after that or will i just be able to get a lisence and then wait till the age of 17
I am a bit confused on this issue but if someone could explain to me what is and what I can do more clearly
That would be great
Thanks
Ben

in georgia you can get a learners permit at 15 and drive as long as there is a licensed driver in the car. at 16 you can drive alone.
I think your right you can learn to drive at 16 as you're disabled, but not sure if you're actually able to sit your test until your 17 - try calling the DVLA or their website.
I'm fairly sure that cerebral palsy disqualifies you from ever driving.
Depends on the state you live in. See if you state allows it.
Each state has it's own legal age for driving. Check out the laws in your state. The DMV probably has a website.
No. Not true. The minimum driving age is 17, but according to one of the government's "great" ideas, they are moving it up to "18". It is stupid, they are doing it reduce driving crime, but the people who do so are over this age, and do not a lisence anyway. tehse days they are hard to get, as the test is very diffiuclt-- Most peope do not pass on their 1st time.
But you can still revise for your 'theory' test at any age.
actually the 18 thing is a rumour.
You can get your provisional licence at 16, meaning you can learn to drive and learn the theory at 16, but you can't take the actual test and go out on the roads until 17.
On that website you listed, go on online application, provisional license and apply for one. There are boxes you have to fill in about your disability, but it won't change many rules.
So you can learn to drive, so as soon as your 17 you can get your licence immediatly!
Good luck
