How can a person probate someone they feel is a danger to them selves as far as taking care of theirself?

you have to go to the chancery court office and fill out papers asking the person to be declared mentally incompentant then the case goes before the chancery court judge , the court will have the person taken to 2 physicians to exam them to see if in their opinion they are unable to care for themselves. If they do that, and sign them, then they are declared incompentant and you could be warded guardian of them and their assets. Of if mentally ill can be sent to a mental hospital for further evaluation.

You need to give more of an example. It is difficult to get someone committed against their will if they are unable to care for themselves. Also, each state is different, so tell us which state you are in and in what way the person is unable to take care of himself/herself.
You mean prohibit and not probate(as written). The best way is to file a police complaint against him and ask for police protection.
