Answers:
Not really enough info
if you're on an assembly line you'll hold up the line if you leave for the bathroom.
Your boss must have let you know about their policies.
It is possible & legal for your employer to have rules, employee quotas for quality & quanity & designated break times.
no, that's would be wrong of them to do so!!
You can be fired for pretty much anything except race, sex, or religious beliefs.
Um, no, you can't get fired for going to the bathroom! Unless you spend all day there, of course! lol
You can't get fired for going to the bathroom - that would be unreasonable dismissal, and so long as your work is done, you shouldn't get fired for the speed you work, though clearly your employer might want to look at your workload and reassess that if he/she feels they could be getting more out of you.
question makes no sense.
Yes, if you seem to spend too much time in the bathroom, or you take way too long to get the job done you are reducing the profitability of what ever it is that you are producing. If you are making a widget that sells for $15.00 and it cost the company $25 in wages for you to make it, you are not profitable to the bottom line and they can't afford to keep you.
If you are in the US then you would not be fired for using the bathroom. If your job is a production type job and you don't produce as much as is required of you then yes you could get fired. But, is your state a "work at will" state? If so then they could fire you for no reason at all.
You can't get fired for going to the bathroom in the United States unless
a) you have some sort of job that requires that you get someone you fill your spot while you go. If you just "leave your post" and the post is one that must be filled at all times during business hours, then you could face being fired.
b) the bathroom trips are so frequent that it is causing problems in the workplace.
In other countries, I don't know.
depends on your boss - anything can and does happen.
fired for bathroom usage.yes, if it is to the extreme or excessive.
fired for job speed...yes, if it can be proven to ineffective or proficient
Time is of the essense for every employer. Why would they employ you to get something done when they can hire someone who can get this done in 1/2 the time. Find out the company policy's and what your immediate boss expects. Also compare yourself to the rate of work that the other team members in your workplace achieve. Set goals and prioritize to achieve and you should be fine.
if you are slower that average workers Yes you can be terminated, If the company feels that you are using "going to the bathroom" as an excuse to avoid work, Yes they can fire you.
Remember you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all. It is a company business decision to keep or fire you.
You can be fired for any reason.the question is will it be considered a "lawfull termination"? As long as you are not being descriminated against for race, sex, religion or disability, a employer has the right to require it's employees to perform to standards they create. If the employer can prove that you were unable to maintain those standards, after several documented conferences with you ( ie ; verbal warning, written warning) they can terminate you.
To collect unemployment, you must have been seperated from your job through "no fault of your own". Meaning, if you have a bladder problem, you can't help the fact that you were hanging out in the bathroom, even if your boss thought you were taking a break.
Your best defense; start documenting everything if you think they are trying to get rid of you.
