New york state summons question...?

hi i got a new york summons for disorderly conduct from a police officer, i went to court and plead not guilty, then had to go back at a later date to tell my side of the story. The judge said case dismissed and i have 6 months.
What does this mean???

Answers:
If the Judge truely said case dismissed, the prosecution or the Judge thought the case was weak as far as merit. You didn't say whether your posted bail. As far as the case goes, it's over if it was dismissed. The 6 month provision has me baffled as well. Call the Clerk of the Court and ask them.
