Do you think lobbying should be legal?
Really, isn't it like legal bribery? Why do we as a society accept this?
Answers:
I wonder if something like a citizen only lobby would work, no corporations or special interest groups like the ADL at all. We do have to have lines of communication open to tell our elected things what we want and expect them to do. I am not including Dr. Ron Paul in this blanket statement, he does listen and then vote his conscious based on constitutional guide lines! If the rest of the government was as incorruptible as he is there would not be a problem in the first place.
Another name for this corporatism is fascism. All the big corporations like the oil companies, big pharma, the Federal Reserve and the IRS are running the show. What you didn’t know the Fed and the IRS are corporations and privately owned? Please check it out, you do need to understand how we have been brainwashed and taken over. How could we ever have let a corporation have so much power over our lives?
I think lobbying in the sense of pushing to have your issue considered should be allowed but it needs to be controlled much more (ie get rid of all the perks the legislators get and the donations that can be made).
It should be legal, but only done in the open.
They should meet in glass offices with onlookers outside to insure no envelopes sliding around. Maybe even record them to be heard only by a judge in the future in case of a trial.
It is completely unethical and should be illegal. Policitians are supposed to do what is in the best interests of the PEOPLE, not corporations with millions of dollars to buy policitians off with.
Lobbying is the same as protesting. It's organizing to protect the cause or form petitions to fight against it. The only difference is more often than not, lobbyists are fighting for corporations instead of the people. They are being paid by corporations to instill continuity whether on the local or global market. Those that don't accept it, protest.
it already is, so your question is a moot point.
