How to Switch Attorney?

How does one go about switching an attorney? It's for a workers compensation matter. Current attorney has made many mistakes on my case and a I know this as a friend who is an attorney out of state told me I may even have a case against the attorney (but that's another story for later).

From what I've found, a new attorney will not talk with you if you're currently represented. And if you leave your attorney without having one, you're "game" for the workers compensation people to come after you and you are not represented.

He's solo so I cannot go to another attorney in the firm.

How do you go about doing this then?

try this

I think that other attorneys will talk to you. Be careful though in the switch to be sure that your current attorney will release his lien on the proceeds of any award.
