Additional question are there good catholics there in boston?? Because being a Devout Irish Catholic . I need a place to settle where there are many irish catholic school and churches. Thats why I am wondering ? and is it true that MAss has a high tax and high insurance rate's?

Answers:
Massachusettes does not have as high taxes as people say. That was just propaganda made up by republicans when Mike Dukakis was running for president. People there pay a lot of taxes because they make a lot of money. The tax rate isn't that high if you take everything into consideration (income tax, sales tax, property tax). It actually ranks 32nd out of 50.

Again, auto insurance is high if you look at amount paid per capita but that is because Mass has a high percentage of expensive new cars on the road compared to a lot of other states. Unless you live in downtown Boston, your rates won't be that bad.

As for Irish Catholics, you can't spit without hitting one.

MA sales tax is 5%. Meals tax is 5%.

Mass has an income tax, whether you live there or just work there.

There is a pretty big population of Catholics in the Boston area, yes. People, churches, schools... though because of the pedophile priest scandal, many churches have been closed by the archdiocese.

I hear Mass auto insurance is pretty high, though their property taxes are lower than NH's.
