Don't spend all your winnings at once...!-
scam
THEY WANT YOU TO RESPOND TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY
COMPLETE SCAM.
Don't even think about it.
It's a scam. They'll either ask you for a modest "fee" before you can claim your award, or ask for your bank information so they can transfer the funds directly, and then they'll clean out your account. Anytime someone tells you that you won a contest you didn't enter, be skeptical.
It's a scam
I know a woman who was given some money. They don't give you the whole amount, but you recieve quite a sum.
they will need your bank account in order to deposit your winning? and then they can strip your account this is a scam
Are the people who continually ask this question daily a big bunch of total retards ?
Of course it's a scam you retard.
If U dided pay for it ..? and if its from the U K. area it is a rip off.

Did you bought any lottery ticket? Let me guess: now they just need you to give them your. ss number, credit card number, plus they want you to pay for some "paper work" before they can send you any money.

Cant for the life of me understand why Yahoo doesn't stop this sort scam email going through its mail server's, surely its not rocket science to block them by ajusting the filters

Just delete the information immediately from your e-mail its a load of rubbish, "scam" i keep getting them also and "requests" to give me large amounts of money from people in South Africa.

WOW, congrats!!
scam
Total scam I'm afraid. DON'T reply.
SCAM!!! Just contact Yahoo directly, not from any links in the email you received. They will tell you for sure.
There is no Yahoo or Internet Lottery, it's a scam.
I used to post links to the debunking articles about this, but I've seen so many questions about this absurd "Yahoo Lottery" that I don't bother anymore. The people posting clearly can't be bothered to type two words into a search engine, or read the links Yahoo brings up when you try to submit a question about it.
Here's a link to a Yahoo Question from a guy who fell for the scam:
