Is this height of corruption?

I just saw citizen X a weekly program in CNN IBN which is also available on this link >>>> http://www.ibnlive.com/news/indian-citiz... please checks this & give your observations. One has to just spend few thousands of rupees & get all those legal documents (passport, driving licence, voter’s I D card, pan card, birth certificate , ration card etc) that will prove his/her Indian Identity even if no such person actually exist. Just imagine how much time you spend in getting all those documents if you follow the usual procedure provided under the law & many a times you face lots of problem getting them. We celebrate our 60th year of Independence & proudly call us Indian, are we really free from the corruption eating our democratic roots ? What we should do about our corrupt Bureaucracy along with corrupt Political system? Wishing You All A Happy 60th Independence Year.

Vijay ji!

It is not so height which you are imaging!

Let it grow and see more. It is only a trailer, the film is still pending.

But the postilion which we are facing is not created by only some Govt. employees or some political leader; it is created by all of us and we have to face this.

This is the first country in which there are the workers are much educated but the governing body (Minister's lobby) is illiterate. And the political leader who becamees one who was a much worst in his class. He never attend his classes properly, never learn honestly always cheated in exams and becom our minister and we all are responsible for that as we elected such persons

Now it is my request to all of Indians who want really honour their country much not elect a corrupt person and the mind of all would tell him who is good or who is bad?

However thanks for the question!

Be asking the good questions!

kuch nahin ho sakta.
No. Coz there's no height of corruption. It grows as tall as the politicians want it to
Every day science is developing, With the same rule corruption is also developing. Development is proportional to height of corruption.
Well, there is a need to prove who a person is, for security reasons. While India has the need for six or more proofs, usa has even fewer and a lot of us don't even travel so we don't need passports, nor is everyone on food stamps (your ration card)(I don't even know what a pan card is), etc. So I guess the more active you are then the more documents and proofs you need. But even then it is the matter of security to catch the thief (identity theft or making up a name). .The next step is the "chip" put in a person's wrist. Are you suggesting that a chip might be better than carrying around a lot of ID?

Are you suggesting that individuals rise up and stop poor people in India from making money from making false ID papers? Well then provide them better jobs and better paying jobs. Seems the problem there is money is hard to come by. Since the rich like being rich, why not train everyone to be rich and provide them jobs? How many jobs has India created themselves (not jobs from overseas) this past month?
what u saw is nothing.90% people have to give bribe to even media if they dont want to get harrased.well curruption exist simply because our ministries makes paperwork more and more difficult(on pupose) for any common man to understand .so that they can help govt employes to get more bribes just see the latest itr forms.etc
hai vijayji,i wish everybody happy independence day.i think it was always there in our country, but now thanks to the media we all get to see it in our homes,my personal experiance is that a bangladeshi or a nepali can get rationcard easily in mumbai then we indians can.
Glad to see your question come up on my screen as a contact. As far as corruption, my belief is that politicians from all parts of the world have an inherent nature to accept bribes... Have a good Day!! As well - I do not believe all web sites ...
what you call the height of corruption will be the beginning of it for others.

what you call the business relations of Osama bin laden with Bush Sr. once...

what you can the Iran supported by USA to fight Iraq , what you call the Brazen attack on Iraq, in the name of WMD...

what you call the blatant lies politicians utter every day and night , in press... to protect variuos Industrial houses

what you call the Killings of Nandigram.
what you call the Killings of Ram Sevaks who went to Babri deomolishion...
what you call the Riots of Gujarat where State sponsored violence killed innocents

This whole Kashmir protected by article 370 .. and millions, billions trillions of Rupees no.. Dollars are wasted so far and achieved what killings.. and where is democracy...

what you call ... an authoress given asylum and yet not protected by Govt... On one hand they claim we are secular.. and other hand Muslims Fundamentalist are allowed to spread hatred, threaten Taslima with Fatwa... what type of Democratic, Secular India is this...

Your point is right that it is height of corruption.. but what about all those who are murdered in the name of religion, and our Govt is proclaiming Democratic Secular India ,, the Largest of its kind on Earth...
all the three branches of govt. are unethical. the GANGOTRY OF CORRUPTION starts from the top. education is the only way, join R.S.S. teach our kids about NETAJI BOSE, SARADAR BHAGAT SING, VALLABHBHAI PATEL, TATYA TOPE...teach them what is ARYAN SANSKRITI IS ALL ABOUT.

ha ha ha ha aa ha
good question.
only that is the question which have no answer.
Can we really do anything about it ? I doubt?
e-government may bring down the corruption level. But it is too far for us. What is your suggestion?
I appreciate your social responsibility.
One has to accept that corruption is inherent in all living beings at one or other level. No body is against getting some thing free, of course at the cost of some other thing.

Amongst many sugestions to extripate coruption, one is that it should come from the top. If people at top are not corrupt, then the entire system can be set right. It is like "yadha raja, tadha praja". Like king like his people.

So we need people who are integrity personified, non corrupt at the top to lead us. This, I hope, we can do by giving value education to the children.

I also feel that we have to change our perseption regarding corruption. We can ignore corruption at lower levels, like we frequently see at the clerical level. At this level, we can get some thing out of turn without deviation rules or norms.

The other type of corruption is at the higher level, ie. by those who can do many things, change policies, pass orders against laws, rules etc. This is a dangerous one. and every body should be wary of it. But, alas what we see and what si being exposed by the media is only the first one but very littel of second nature. So I feel that instead of concentrating of the lesser one, one should try to curb the second type of corruption, i.e corruption at higher level.
