do i have to show up? or can i just pay them what i owe, heres the scoop, ive been sued for 900 bucks and lost, now i have the money to pay them off, do i need to even go to this? or can i just pay them and be done
Answers:
go to court with the money...you now have a judgement against you and the judge will have to render it as satisfied.
you will meet your creditor in the hall before the court hearing and discuss with him that you are willing to settle that day...which by the way will make him happy...you will then to into court and he will tell the judge.
so go.
good luck
You could just pay the creditor and be done with it. But you would have to pay him before the court date so he has enough time to withdraw the case. Otherwise you'll get in trouble for not showing up. So hurry.
Pay the money and ask the to get the citation droped. Once paid their's no need for the other party to keep going unless he wants to add other expenses.
Just make sure the citation is droped, or go to court and show evidence that it was paid.
