False advertisement?
if a store says that they sell jeans sizes 00-12 in short, regular, and long inseams, and they have that in writing on posters in the store and on the website but they dont actually sell some of those sizes and dont intend to. so could they be sued for false advertisement?

yes, according to my sister. but i would look in to it. they can sell one item and they would not be wrong. and they r probably big.

A business shouldn't say it, if they don't intend to do it. Advertising lets the public know what you have and what you are capable of doing, so I feel that they can be sued because they are luring in customers based on promises which they don't intend to uphold.
It's the old "bait and switch" routine where they advertise one thing to get you in the store and then try to sell you something else. Your only recourse is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which you can do on-line. Unless the BBB gets many complaints against the retailer, probably nothing will happen, so get your friends in on it and file complaints.
Sure, but in the same advertisement there will usually be "subject to availability" or similar.
