Why are the American laws so good that other countries would adopt or follow?
Why are the American laws are so good that other countries in the world would soon follow or adopt them such as divorce laws, laws protecting children, business laws and more.

Short answer. They aren't.
Long answer : you're mistaken. A number of countries have adopted American political institutions, especially large ones that felt that federation like statutes would be easier to handle than a monolithic state. But only a country with a long history of being colonized by the english would even think of adopting the common law style of judiciary adjusted law.
Now, if you're thinking of individual instances of a country in need of laws for a distinct area, and modeling those laws after existing US statutes, it's because the US has a long legislative tradition, and countries that don't tend to think that what works for others might work for them too. I'd just like to know how long those laws remain as written on the books without needing to be amended to fit local culture.
It is americans that have stolen most of the laws of europe over the years...
They are not good in a lot of cases, in the UK too many people follow the Americans in the compensation saga,
The Americans are too fond of suing people making lawyers rich, companies poor and the consumer pays for it all.
There are such things as accidents.
They may or may not be but since the U.S. is so rich and powerful, many countries want to emulate.
The bill of rights was pretty groundbreaking for them time...

Almost all of our laws come from British Common law, and laws protecting children goes back to the Magna Carta!
Actually we are the ones who follow, and often it took us a couple hundred years!
The first child neglect case was one called Mary Ellen in the middle 1800's! There were no child abuse or neglect laws, however there were laws protecting animals! Mary Ellen was brought under the Protection of Cruelty to Animals, not child abuse!
Actually, many of our laws are just plain idiotic, passed at whim or knee-jerk reaction! Not well thought out at all!

And to the one above who claims the Democrats wre going to take your freedoms away! If it were up to Bush you wouldn't have any! He has attacked the constitution since he got into office, and has systematically tried taking your rights away, including habeas corpus! If you are going to make untrue statements, don't make the so untrue that you look like a know-nothing or you can't grasp what has been happening for almost 7 years! It is you Republicans who do that!
The Iraqis haven't been so keen on adopting US laws. What countries are you referring to?
