Wat is your view on illegalising euthanasia?
the concept of euthanasia is not being given the seriousness that it deserves. this is simply due to the fact that it hasnt probably affected our families, our friends or even our spouses...and hence why should we talk about it! but even if we dont encounter this agonizing issues personally, we still have a stand and responsibility to take...imagine if this heartning scenario arrives by your doorstep..??
Answer:
My view is that everyone has a right to die with dignity. A persons choice, should be just that. I feel euthanasia is compassionate, and unselfish. If a person is suffering beyond comprehension, who are we to say that they can not take control of their own destiny? The people who disagree, the ones left behind, can not begin to understand the immense pain and humiliation one is experiencing. I strongly believe, that when all hope is gone, "The Quality of Life" is what is most important.
I have no problem with it provided the "victim" has the mental capacity to make the decision and is terminally ill.
If I was severely damaged, physically or mentally, I would want the option of euthanasia. People's lives are their own, and they should have the choice to end them.
When in doubt, I would err on the side of life, though.
Is there a Consensus that can help these helpless Willy's understand, that A Greater Plan has no Guilt for Lovers Handling Mercy as if Their Happiness doesn't count. We write Words, to impress others of The Quality, and the Meaning our Words should have. Common Law has it. The Practice of day to day struggle sometimes. I've encountered Terminally Sickness in my Personal Luggage and Travelers yearbooks. The Law is for animals in a less then Natural environment, and lets just be Happy, that we haven't gone around the Bend square folded by now. The Rubbish in the Media since Magic TV began."Oh was there a Camera?"... I don't settle my Life for security at the door. 'Life is a healthy thing'.
Different.. Disasters like Bhopal... The Quakes Everywhere, should have told us before to Stick our Time in worthier causes.. Any Freedom of consensus, makes One Dictator Charm and Pray. Decided, Decision, all subject to Vote. Where There is None. Empire Kingdom, I Universe.

Good God... I cannot comprehend what the hell Lady something of Avalon is on about!! However, to the question.
I believe that human life is sacrosanct. It is against the grand creators wish that we should take our own life and that no one else should do it for us.
Having said that, I also believe that we should not use artificial means to keep one alive.
So give pain relief etc, but not an overdose!!
It has been legislated in Oregon I believe. This is an issue that will not be rushed and will most likely never be accepted nationally in all 50 states even in your lifetime.
I have been in health care for over 20myesr. I have many mixed feelings about this. Is it fair to the patient to exstend their life because we can't let go? or is it fair to euthanize some-one because they don't have the same quality of life they were accoustom to? The moral compus on this for me is that no-one should take another human's life.
No one should suffer, isn't that what we say when our animals are put to sleep. I work in a hospital and if people really understood how hard it is to see your loved one suffer for months sometimes years with a crippling disease or from a car accident that has left them brain dead or worse. My mom suffered with lung cancer for a very long time and at the end it was so hard to see her in so much pain. Besides it would be better than them committing suicide, how hard would it be for you to find your loved one dead in their home with a gun shot to the head?
We do this kindness for our pets when they are suffering so why not for ourselves? Dr. Jack Kevorkian had the right idea - too bad he was put in prison for ending the suffering of terminally ill, consenting adults.
Just like abortion, it is a matter of choice. Laws should be about commerce, not morals. Just like pot, guns, or whatev !
