Just another day in Florida. I live here and my house has been robbed in this fashion before. However, I refused to fork over much of money even with a GUN to my head. However, this kid was only 12 so he probably didn't realize that these fuking punks wouldnt have shot him.

I felt horribly sick when I read about what happened to that woman and her son.
How can anyone do such awful things to another human being?

Not only did those sick demented teens rape the mother but they made her son do sexual things with her also and then they poured cleaning solvents in his eyes.
I guess pouring bleach on victims is the newest rage among criminals because it's happening more and more often to destroy DNA evidence.
I wish I could visit her and her son and tell them how sorry I am that this happened to them and give them a hug.
I was born in West Palm Beach Florida in 1968 and it was a high society place to live in back then.
But I guess all that has changed.
I'm so sorry for them and it breaks my heart that that happened to them.
I hope all the teens who were responsible for doing that are found,brought to trial and sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
I hope everyday of their life they are made to suffer for what they did and I hope they never ever forget.
Because I know the mom and her son will suffer and will be reminded of what happened every day for the rest of their lives.
If I had the money I would buy them a house in the Suburbs in any state they wanted to live in and I would give them enough money to live a decent life and I would help put her son through college.
Maybe Oprah Winfrey with all of her billions will take pity on them and help them move to a better area where they will be safe.
I'm going to pray for them and I hope they will be OK.

I am really bothered by not only the actual torture and victimization that this woman and her son endured but the comment made by one of the tenants of the Dunbar Project who pretty much said "so what she was raped, nobody cares about us". This is just wrong from start to finish and these boys need to be given the death penalty. I just can't see letting kids who are capable of this back into society at all. I am not a prejudice person but I myself have a hard time understanding why this portion of the population can't seem to just try to succeed and stop hurting innocent people or each other. I grew up with some crazy stuff and knew many kids who did things that they shouldn't have been doing yet I still managed to make a successful life for myself and my family.
You ask how these kids can be so cruel…Poor parenting, ignorance and no desire to be anything more than thugs. I think there is some genetic issue going on with this portion of the population where very few have the desire to have a typical life. If you can't be a basketball, football or rap star the only other option is to be in a gang and be ignorant. Like I said I am not prejudice and I embrace all cultures and nationalities and many African Americans who are doctors, lawyers, actors, trash haulers, grocery store clerks, teachers, senators, governors, soon to be presidents, laborers and plainly put humans who care about themselves and those around them.
Something needs to be done to stop this kind of madness!
