Should BET be forced to change their name now that it is owned by white corporate devils ie VIACOM?
The programming was bad to begin with now it is deplorable. It is an embarrassment it, it is both degrading, derogative. The least thing they could do is change their name to reflect something more representational of their programming.

Yes they are now owned by the same people who run MTV and VH1 (and, incidentally, the same people who fired Don Imus from his radio show for saying 'nappy headed hoes'. How ironic!)
BET has always been an embarrassment to the black community. But the name B.E.T. should stay. But instead of it indicating BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION, it should be BUFFOON ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION.

WELL THE OWNER DOESN'T CHANGE THE CONCEPT OF IT. BET IS STILL TARGETTED TOWARDS BLACK AUDIANS, SO ITS STILL BLACK ENTERTAINMENT. NOW MTV IS THE ONE THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE THEIR NAME, COS ONLY 30% OF SHOWS ON MTV IS MUSIC
Why should the name change just because of the owners?
The owners have nothing to do with who produces the shows and the programs that are aired on the station.
