Did the Kobe case and the Duke Lacrosse Case taint the credibilities of legitimate rape victims?
I believe so. I'm 97% sure Kobe did not commit the crime of rape, and 99.9999999999999999999% sure that the Duke players were innocent too. I could go on into detail, but since this isn't the sports section, I don't know if anyone's interested.
Next year in 8th grade, I'll be taking U.S. History. It'll be fun to chat with my History teacher about these cases. I'd like to be a lawyer one day.

I would say that you are right, take the Duke case, here we have an over zealous DA that is up for reelection and he doesn't bother to tell anyone that DNA testing had completely cleared the Duke players, instead he had them convicted in the media before they even got to trial.
Kolbe made a huge error in his judgment and got caught cheating on his wife, but it was not rape, this was some s-l-u-t trying to make a few bucks after the fact.
Another interesting case is the Mike Tyson alleged rape case, here a woman visits his hotel room at 3 AM, does anyone think she stopped just to say hello? This was another gold digger except that Tyson was convicted.
What these girls do does taint the credibility of other women that have legitimate cases against high profile men, that is a shame especially when there was rape involved.

yes it did...and i think a legal example of the lady in the duke case should be made about what happens to money hungry (lots of bad words) make false claims of rape...i was raped and one of the first things out of the prosecuters mouth to me was "are you sure this acually happened because a lot of women cry false rape" at first i was very angry that he said this but the more times goes on and more and more cases like the duke case happen i now see why he said that
yes, unfortunately, it did. The more that cry wolf in order to get attention, the more women who are actually raped are not believed, or the courts try to prove they "had it coming". These women are selfish, and don't think how they are hurting other women.
No, I don't think it did. I think it tainted the credibilities of women who claimed they were raped with questionable pasts. If a women with a good past accuses someone of rape, I believe courts will take it serious. I also believe Kobe and the Duke team were innocent. Yes, down here in Raleigh "Uncle Kracker" was recently accused of assaulting a young woman. What do you think was immediately brought up with Duke right down the road?
