What are my legal rights in naming a newborn in california?

Answers:
If you are the mother.. you have all the rights! IF you dont believe me ask the social worker at the hospital.

why wot the hell're ya going to name the poor f*cker??
What is your relationship to the newborn?
you can name your kid pretty much anything..
but i wouldnt name it something to get them picked on
If you're the mother, you have all the right. If you the father and married to the mother, you also have the right (you both have to agree though). If you're the unmarried father it's up to the birth mother.

Grandparents, cousins, etc have no rights.
