Gun ownership?
does anyone know if buying a gun in California is legal? also can any person apply for a permit to carry a gun in California? what are the conditions? thanks
Answers:
Since the California is part of the United States, it is legal to buy a gun, but I would not buy one off the street, it could be stolen, and can cause you many problems down the road. If you are 21, go to a dealer, get one, it will be registered as yours. We have the right to bear arms. They will do a back ground check on you, if you clear it, you can get the gun.. Get on line under California concealed weapons permits, they have all the info on there. If your a convicted felon, you can not buy one.
Any reliable firearms store should give you this valuable information, as well as providing you with material to fight the liberal agenda in weird California.
You may buy a handgun or rifle/shotgun in CA. They put you through some real hoops including using a licensed dealer for all transactions whether through a business or among private citizens. They also impose mandatory training and a waiting period. As to getting a CCW in CA - well it's not a "shall issue" state so that means it's really at the whim of whatever the issuing authority (a city police chief, county sherriff, etc...) feels like. Really a mish-mash in application so you'll have to check locally...
you can, but check local laws, some cities have heiled to hitler and banned handguns(you know, the cities with STILL the highest handgun crime in CA) makes sence huh? Personaly if you want to be safer, dont buy a gun, move away from KALIFORNIA
