How is it that polices don't worry about crime, but when it comes to streetvending, they are unrealistic?

Answers:
Street vending is a crime too (no taxes, and they litter a lot) and a plublic health problem if they sell contaminated food.

Besides were do get the street vendors to sue them if they sell you contaminated food? Or how do you force them to give you your money back if there is a problem with their product?

Of course the police worry about crime. Their job is to enforce ALL laws.
u must at the context how law enforcement operates. if vending is not obstructive, leave it. if troublesome or becomes a law enforcement issue, then police will act. most times - no. also your country. some are more tolerant some not. sometimes they do provide needed service by selling things wh u need
Because the vendors with fixed locales and high overheads don“t want competition off low cost vendors.
