Would the recording engineer have the rights to my songs in any way?

I made the beats to the songs I want to record. I have also written the lyrics. I plan on going to a recording studio to have my songs recorded.

Answers:
No, more than the Janitor, he is only "hired" to mix & record the music. He be paid for his one time services, and is not part of any contractual agreement.

They have no rights if you copyright all of your work.
