Driving laws!?

Yeah i just realized..when im 15 i can get my permit thingie, yeah i learned that.

But then i thought, i was gonna drive out to kentucky but i cant because the laws are different..

So how does that work? i can drive at 15 1/2 here...but its different there i think

Answers:
The state in which you reside is what determines at which age you can start driving. Once you have a valid driver's license, a car you have permission to drive, and proper auto insurance, you may drive into a state that has different rules.

But you had better know what those rules are.
For example, some states require you to have insurance, but do not require you to have proof of insurance on your person or in your car. Other states do.

So before driving into a state that requires you to have with you papers showing you have insurance, right to drive the vehilce, etc. better make sure you have that proof with you.

12 states are non-fault, 38 are not. If you drive from one to another, better make sure your auto insurance is good enough.

It depends on where you live, and the laws of the state you're going to. For example, if you live in Pennsylvania, you can your license at 16, but you can't drive out of Pennsylvania until you're 18. And no one can drive in New York City, until they're 18.
In Kentucky you can drive with a permit as long as there is someone over 18 and licensed with you and it's not after 10PM. An out of state learners permit will probably get you in trouble though no matter who's with you or the time of day
