Transporting a corpse(legally) from one state to another....see below for more details?

Ok so my friend jsut ask me the oddest question.what he's wonering is this..when his father passes my friend wants to have the body taken to Ohio (we're in Michigan) for ther services as most of their family is in OH. What we want to know is how much would something like this cost? Who would we contact to set this up? Any info would be greatly appreciated..thnks much♥

It depends on the laws of your state. Best place to start would be the Coroner's Office for the county in which he resides. They can answr most of your questions and they can put you in touch with the rpoper people to set up an Inter-state transport.


Contact a funeral director. They will have the answers to all of your questions.
