Can they take your drivers license for a minor offense?

I was told that if you are a single adult and you ar your only means of transportation then your license cannot be taken.
Anyone have this info?

Who ever told you that was either lying or mistaken.

never heard of that. in ga they will take your license if you are a repeat offender under the age of 21 or dui/dwi
I don't think they care. They can and will take your license, because you can walk, take the bus, or get a ride from someone. If you are being threatened with loss of license and you need it, then you need to talk to a lawyer and figure out a plea deal, so you don't loose your license.
Sorry, but driving is a privelage granted by the state. It can be revoked for any offense, no matter how minor. No state recognizes a car as a necessity as there are many alternatives to include walking, biking, public transit, or moving to a location closer to where your needs are. Recommendation, don't try to find ways to get around motor vehicle laws.
You heard wrong. You license can be revoked for a variety of reasons, too many to list here.

However, most states have a provision to the issuance of a limited license. This allows you to drive to and from work at certain times. You can not drive to a party on this license, only to and from work or school.
What would single adult have to do with it? That sounds like discrimination to me. What would it matter if you are single or married? If you break the law, you break the law and your marital status wouldn't have a thing to do with the outcome.
