What is the status of limitation to sue for an incident occured on 9/11/2006 last year?
I am planing to sue a construction company that came to my house and took Pictures of the areas that were not schedule to be work on without my permission.
Answer:
Taking pictures of anything from public property is not a crime in the U.S.
Construction companies are allowed to work for municipalities on private property without the owner's permission if they are working within utility easements.
It sounds as though you have no case whatsoever
Additional comment:
Read your other question where you stated the pictures were taken inside the home. If you are a tenant, the owner or agent are required to give you advace notice of entering the property. (barring emergency of course). They can take all the pictures they want once inside if you gave permission to enter. If there was no harm done, no problem but if you did not give permission to enter and they used pictures against you somehow, I would recommend contacting counsel and filing suit for damages.
FYI, I think you're looking for the word "statute" not status. Statute of limitations.
If your question is how long do you have to sue someone for trespass because they entered onto your property and took pictures, the statute of limitations depends on where you live. In the US, most states have at least a one-year statute, but it may be longer. But to successfully sue anyone, you must be able to show actual damages. Do you have any?
If your question is how long do you have to sue someone because they did unauthorized work and you have pictures of the work, this is a whole other thing that may involve mechanics liens procedures and very short time periods to act.

So far, the answers you were given (the first three) were right on the money.
You have no grounds to sue, unless there were damages done to your property and you can prove it. Most courts would throw out your case before you even got in the door. If any real damage was caused, why would anyone wait so long to act?
