Do we have freedom in America? Why I can't visit Cuba or buy Property there?
The europeans have beaten us to the punch by this stupid law.

you can visit but you will need a special permission. you can also bring only $125 or some small amount of money. and you can't buy property because the US government do not want you to invest in a country where Castro is the head of state, because he is a long term enemy of the US. About the freedom part, everyone has their own opinion. Which is OK, because all the ppl i n the Red States need something to tell each other to make themselves feel better.
I'm pretty sure you can visit, you just have to fly out of canada.

malaclypse...if you leave the country then go to cuba...you will get caught and fined...there is a division of the government that only does that.
Why can't you be naked?

As for the Cuba thing, it's because of stubbornness, and the buttheaded rich Cuban-Americans that lobby so hard to keep it that way, and the politicians that want their votes.
What an extreme, black and white, pessimistic view! We can't go to Cuba so we don't have freedom??? Gee-- guess I'm a prisoner cause they don't let me drive my own car 100 miles an hour! Every country has it's limitations. Freedom doesn't mean you can do anything imaginable and if it DID, Europe sure doesn't have it!

We have Freedom IN AMERICA, just because we have freedom here don't mean that we are free to do what we want in other countries.
You can't but property in Cuba because it is a Communist Country and there is no private ownership of Property.
That has nothing to do with America.

Nowhere does any documentation declare that we have "ultimate freedom" nor is it even suggested.
Cuba is still considered an enemy, and it is for your protection that laws like the one(s) that you have mentioned were formulated.
You could move to another country if you really want such "freedom" but I like it just where I'm at. Even among Liberals.
