Help with PayPal dispute?
Hi, about a month ago I bought a DVD set (Entourage Season 3 Part 2), the problem is, as many of you know, that the set doesn't even come out until October this year. I didn't know that then and the auction wasn't for a preorder copy. So I paid w/ PayPal and rec'd the item. It was clearly a copy and it was burnt with the seller's handwriting on the DVD. PayPal sent me this email (below) after I escalated the claim to a dispute. The question is, how do I get someone qualified to fax them? This is outrageous.
In order to continue with the investigation of your complaint, we must request documentation to support your claim that the item is not authentic.
Please obtain a document from an unbiased, third-party, such as a dealer, appraiser, or another individual or organization that is qualified in the area of the item in question (other than yourself), which clearly identifies the item as not authentic. If possible, the document should include a serial number and description of the item

Sounds like you need to find a video vender, renter, any store that sells or buys dvd's etc (maybe one that you use locally) to agree to write a letter (on company letterhead) stating that in his opinion that the dvd sent to you was obviously a fake and state his reasons why. You have to have someone with or who works for someone an actual license to sell said products (dvd's) and access to the letterhead of the company to which they belong. This could be a friend who is no more than a cashier at the counter who can access the store's letterhead. Good luck with this.
PayPal is being ridiculous. A simple picture of the clearly bootlegged item should do, but if they insist then ask whoever you can. Go to a pawn shop, a mediator and if desperate, Best Buy! Any of those people can tell them the obvious, that the DVD set is a fake!
so why dont ya mail it too them since it a fake what good is it. and you really got to do some reading when buying things .if you have a fax number theres a lot of store that n fax... think your wasting your time thro,,,, next time when buying check their feed back and if you see any bad mark is a good sign they are not who you want to do business with it happen alot
I am sure that paypal has their reasons for being so strict. If need be go to a pawn shop or maybe even a video store and get a statement from them.
Please, be very careful with Paypal, they hijack customer's money for 180 days
so they can day-trade it and put the profit in their own pockets.
So they usually use "Money on hold" or "suspicious activities" as an excuse to use their customer's money.
Please check this out, and please notice that they advertise another product. Since I don't know this product and I don't know anyone who does you should distrust it too.
If you have a complaint, it doesn't hurt that you write it here:
