you shouldn't ask this in freelawanswer.com , it's pretty serious.
**yu can file a lien on a property he has yourself
**yu can turn the judgement over to a collection company - they will work it for a percentage.
**if you know where he works, go back in and get a garnishment order for his employer.
good luck :)
You file for a writ of garnishment against the other person. His wages will then be attached. And you should get your money sooner or later.
If you're a lawyer, wouldn't the firm you work for be more knowledgeable on how to do this than people on YA?
File a garnishment on this bum, If he has a steady job, that he wont be leaving anytime soon. If you do and he quits then you are out of additional filing/mailing/server fees.
You can attach a lien to any property that he owns. but make sure that he own it outright. If it is a auto that he has a loan on. then you would have to wait your turn, after the finance company to collect. The same goes with anything else he owns, you may become a secondary lien holder and have to wait your turn.
Here in Michigan the judgments are good for several years. which it has taken me that long to fully collect on a few.
good luck.
