When will Conrad Black actually go to prison? Will be be allowed to be free during his appeal?

Conrad Black was found guilty on several criminal charges a couple of weeks ago. He has been allowed to remain free while awaiting sentencing. He will be sentenced in November.

Of course, he will appeal the case for as long as possible.

Will he be sent to prison during the appeal? Or will he remain free for all or some of the appeal process?

Answers:
if he is sentenced in November to jail then that is where he will be while his appeal is being gone over

Whether he will be sent to jail while the appeal is pending is up to the judge. Often, but not always, defendants are allowed to remain free pending appeal.
