Why woudl the GOVERNMENT target and go after one business for something but then NOT go after another business

For example : this CLAIM of price gouging ~ what is that all about?

Is there something I am missing? I mean couldn't any of us essentially CLAIM that EVERYONE was "gouging"?

From the DENTAL FEES to the HEALTHCARE COSTS to THE PLUMBERS WRENCH FITTINGS to the AUTO PARTS to the LANDSCAPE TREES to the ... etc etc you see what I am saying?

Answers:
DEEP POCKET. That's the answer. Who can the government get the most money from for the least expenditure. That is who they target.

Yes. Well, call me a cynic, but most businesses, to a certain extent are gouging. Often the cost of something is determined not by it's worth, but by what YOU will pay for it. To answer your question, when the interest of the government and the interest of the "gouger" are in conflict, the government will take action. Usually. The Government is about as dependable as a schizo-effective cat. With that said, people will always complain about something, especially money is involved. My rant is done.
