My father was killed in a auto accident and im pursuing a wrongful death suit against the other driver.?
Are there any other things i can do to hit this guy with,?i dont want him to hide his assets or anything and i want to make sure he pays for his mistake bigtime
Answers:
I am sorry for your loss, I also lost my father almost 4 months ago in an auto accident, at no fault of his own. I am also debating if I should pursue him legally. In cases such as ours, the insurance company employed by your father can tell you if it is in your best interest to legally pursue the driver at fault. It is standard for all accidents especially when a fatality has occurred for the insurance company to automatically do an asset check. There is no way of hiding assets they go back at least 6 months to a year before the accident occurred. I am still dealing with the insurance companies in my fathers death. I know this is hard but money won't make it better, I had to come to realise that. And the man who killed both yours and my father will have to live with that for the rest of their life. And as cold as this sounds that's beneficial enough for me. It will take time but you will make it through this.

Talk to your attorney. If he hasn't already done an asset check on the guy, have him do it. That may help protect you against wrongful transfers of assets.
I'm sorry for your loss, but taking everything from the other guy is not going to bring him back. You sound a bit selfish and you are just merely trying to profit from your father's death. You are part of the problem with the litigious society we have in America. If I was the judge in this matter, unless you had real good reason to push this to the extreme you are, I would throw it out of court.
I'm very sorry about your father, please accept my condolences.
There really isn't anything that he can do that you can prevent -- the worst that can happen (unless he's also in jail for what happened to your father, and in that case, good luck!) is that he can declare bankruptcy, in which case you will have to wait much, much longer for your money.
You should also look into other liable parties -- say, the manufacturer of the car if, for example, it was a Ford Explorer and rolled over, or the airbag didn't deploy or something; or the paramedics for taking to long or the hospital for injecting the wrong drugs . talk to your lawyer about it.
If you don't have a lawyer, get one. There are tons of attorneys who would take the case on contingency, and they have whole staffs of people who will look into every aspect of the accident and where the best chance of getting money is.
Retain an attorney who can put an immediate freeze on his holdings
ruining a mans life won't bring back your father. You'll be fatherless for the rest of your life, and the man who killed your father will have to live with all the hideous feelings that he took a mans life and in doing so took him away from you and the rest of your fathers loved ones. This will haunt him for the rest of his life, and that is the truth. So have some empathy, can you imagine if you were the driver? I bet you could barely live with yourself. Your father would rather see you extend compassion to this man, rather than an immature greedy child incapable of forgiveness that is trying to sue and put a price tag on his life. You're hurting, and hurting others isn't going to make you feel better. Karma. Love. Make your father proud.
**** i got someone suing me for something close to yr case GET over it if i was them i wouldnt pay u **** and i would put everything in someone elses name
